The Adult Eye Care Program works in conjunction with local optometrists and ophthalmologists to provide eye exams and glasses for low income adults. The eye care professionals provide all of their services free of charge.

In order to qualify for a prescription and eye glasses a person must:

  • Be employed, receive Social Security/veterans benefits or be a full time student.
  • Have proof of residency
    (Provide a current rental agreement or a utility bill with name and address.)

Upon approval of their application, clients receive a letter for an appointment with the doctor. Next, they come to our offices to pick out a frame. Finally, they receive a local optical store voucher, which they will use to request lenses.
