Adoption—Catholic Family Service will be closing Adoption and Foster Care Services as of July 1st, 2010.
Students Off the Streets (S.O.S)—Students Off the Streets focuses on children aged 6 to 18. This youth activity center provides a safe environment for our youth after school and into the evening when they may not have home supervision. In addition SOS provides educational support, guest community speakers, art instruction and an activity center for sports, fitness and games.
Emergency Youth Shelter—The CFS Youth Shelter at the Pearl Longbine Cottage has a capacity for 30 children. The shelter provides short term care for abandoned, abused or neglected children and runaways. The shelter provides a home like atmosphere for youth to make the transition much easier for them.

Low Income and Elderly
Inter Faith Hunger Project—The Interfaith Hunger Project is a program that provides food for those age 55 and older and for the disabled. Working with the High Plains Food Bank, IFHP purchases food for the elderly, the elderly in turn receive this food at no cost. Most IFHP staffers are volunteers.
Adult Eye Care—The Adult Eye Care Program works in conjunction with local optometrists and ophthalmologists to provide eye exams and glasses for adults who have no ability to pay for these services. The eye care professionals provide all of their services for free.

Low-Income Housing—CFS also provides 67 rental units for low-income families in its role as a Community Housing Development Organization. This program provides housing for people who may not be able to afford the high deposits and added utility costs of other apartments. CFS keeps the apartments highly maintained, deposits are minimal, and utilities are included.

Citizenship and Immigration—Citizenship and Immigration Services helps those immigrants who are in the United States legally obtain the necessary paperwork to find work and to become citizens of the United States.Refugee Resettlement—CFS receives refugees that arrive in the United States through a federal Refugee Resettlement Program, providing them with initial housing, orientation, employments services and English classes.
Interpreting—Amarillo Interpreting Service (AIS), of Catholic Family Service, was established in 2000 because of a growing need for professional and reliable interpreting services to non-English speaking populations in Amarillo.
