Would you like to use your time and talents to make a difference in someone’s life? We’d love to explore that idea with you! We couldn’t achieve our mission if it weren’t for dedicated and talented volunteers who come alongside our staff to meet the needs of our clients.

When you submit the form to your right, someone will contact you about volunteering. We’ll ask you to come into our office so we can talk about your interests and schedule. There, we’ll have you fill out a short application, along with a background check and a statement of confidentiality.

It’s that simple!

Here are a few opportunities that might interest you:

• Filing, typing, copying
• Shopping
• Answering multiple-line phones, routing calls
• Teaching or assisting with ESL or citizenship classes
• Speaking to refugee orientation classes on specialized topics
• Tutoring refugee kids or adults
• Helping with special events (media, publicity, decorations, set-up and tear-down)
• Creating media/publicity pieces—art, photography, videography, writing
• Stocking IFHP grocery store
• Delivering food to homebound clients
• Unloading delivery trucks
• Teaching a refugee to drive
• Assisting with transportation needs
• Sorting and giving out donations
• Providing professional services (haircuts, exams, counseling) to our clients

As you can see, volunteering at CFS is limited only by your imagination, skills, and passions.
